Crystal Lake South High School

The CLS math team had 14 students represent the school at the state finals at Illinois State University after strong performances at the regionals. 

Leading the way for the team at state were seniors Deyan Milushev and Yoana Milusheva in the oral competition. The oral competition is the most rigorous competition for high school students where they learn college level theories and are presented with questions to solve and explain in short periods of time. 

After winning the regional competition, Milushev and Milusheva finished in second place at state, the highest finish for any CLS mathlete in program history.
